Ive been working on my own personal Dark Eldar list for quite some time. It changes so often I can't even keep up with it, since I have not played the same list twice since the new codex came out.

My goal is really to settle down and play one list for a while. That means over-all the core of the list does not change, allowing for some flexibility to improve or find units that fill each niche and work well with each other. I prefer to be fine tuning a list rather than always feeling like I have a new list on the field.

So here is where I am at on my Dark Eldar. 2500 points gives a lot of room to work, but really every list you are building needs to tighten up.

Total Roster Cost: 2495

The list is loaded with shooting power. Plenty of Darklight weapons as well as tons of spinter cannons. The list is meant to go first, or to force your opponent into reserves. Stat wise, it comes up with 29 Darklight shots, and around 60 Splinter Cannons shots.

First round move into position with plenty of firepower to get off all your darklight weaponry. Obviously the 10 man warrior units will provide support and protection to the trueborn units. As well as Asdrubael Vect and his Incubi guard. The trueborn should be moving across the board into any cover, or use the warrior units to provide that cover.

The Incubi are simply to provide vect some protection and keep the enemy away. They are not a shock an awe unit with these low numbers and no other assault units for support. That does not mean they cannot and will not push into enemy ranks, it just means they must be weakened enemy ranks.

The two venoms are meant to float around the outskirts of the enemy force while the two Voidravens will be using the backfield as a striking force with their combined 8 large template shots. Keep the Voidravens far back early as we want their missiles to get off before they are downed.

The Reavers are meant to take advantage of going first or seizing. They will be getting their cover saves from the onset, or moving forward to fire, and sliding back hopefully behind a raider. Note that damaged raiders without guns, have shock prows. Without a gun they are worthless, so lets ram something hard.

The list gives lots of flexibility, with lots of units. There are 10 vehicles in there, with lots of firepower. An opponent concentrating on them, will allow the warriors that are already in position to do their worst
